The 2004-2005
Recipient of our PA Scholarship is Stanley Bridgeman, shown at left with the Nursing Department faculty and staff.
Stanley is a single parent and a "returning adult" nursing student with a 4.0 GPA. Stanley has been active in the community and in the future, hopes to obtain a master's degree and to return to MVCC to teach.
True to
our motto, "United for Excellence in Education," each year the PA offers
one scholarship in the amount of $1,000.00 to a deserving MVCC student.
We hope
that this scholarship not only provides financial assistance & support
to encourage the students' progress in their studies but also helps educate
the students about the purpose and function of unions like ours in the
educational process. |
